Day 3: A Healthy Democracy for a Healthy Environment

Our democracy works the best when everyone’s voice is heard. To ensure that everyone can live in a community with clean air, clean water, and free from pollution, environmental groups have started to come together to join the fight to protect democracy and make voting more accessible. Join Clean Water Action, Climate Power, Environmental Defense Fund, Sierra Club, and us as we come together to highlight environmental activists that are also encouraging their communities to vote this year.

Hear from these environmental leaders as they discuss how voting and the environment are intertwined, why communities of color that historically have been denied the right to vote have become the main targets for environmental justice, and how they are encouraging their communities to be more civically engaged this fall.
